Brad’s Raw Chips Inspires Trend Towards Organic Eating

With fast food restaurants growing at an alarming rate, it’s not suprising that people like Brad have caught onto a wholesome counteraction to junk food gluttony.

After realizing the effects of his own cheese-steak diet, Brad took it upon himself to saturate his diet with raw foods. A regimented raw foods diet has completely improved his health and well being.  He began making a few raw chips in his kitchen to satisfy his cravings, then four years later decided to share his snack with others around the country.

He’s on a steadfast mission to inform people of the benefits of eating raw foods. All chips are grown by local farmers in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and are blended with sprouted flax seeds, buckwheat groats, and are rich in protein and enzymes. Some chip flavors include beet, sweet potato, red bell pepper, sun dried tomato, cheddar, and kale.

Fruit Inspired Automobiles of the Future

In a recent post we wrote about the Banana Car; a 24-foot long, 10-foot high banana on wheels that’s been roaming around southeastern parts of Pennsylvania. While the banana model offers natural dimensional benefits to support a wheel base, such as its natural elongated form, it’s curious to note what other forms of fruit could offer a contemplementary system of architecture for ‘fruit on the road’.

In the midst of our travels, is it possible that fruit inspired vehicles could sway our conscious and swoon us towards healthy eating and away from fast food chains, or are they just the subject of an inventors abstract ideas and marketing stunts? Either way, a definite trend has been started and it will be interesting to see what fruit hits the pavement next.

Confessions of a Shopaholic: My Visit to Sophistikate in Bethlehem, PA

After my quick visit to the Lehigh Valley Mall for a bit of some foreplay shopping, I met a few friends of mine at Bonefish Grille for a few cocktails and prepared myself for the rest of my binge shopping for the day.

My next adventure towards ‘shopping bliss heaven’ took me towards downtown historic Bethlehem to a great upscale women’s retail store called Sophistikate. Their wide range of clothing at all price points and convenient personal fittings with an on-site seamstress make it one of the best fashion consultation outfits in the Lehigh Valley.

There are plenty of options here for the retail shopper and fabulous collections that include pieces by Autumn Cashmere, Three Dots, Willow and Clay, dresses by Nicole Miller, and denim by DL1961 and A.G. Jeans. For fall 2011, Sophistikate recently launched the Robert Graham collection for men.

I was impressed by the exemplary customer service and the whole retail therapy process. Whether you’re new to the fashion scene or an avid follower of fashion trends and style, Sophistikate of Bethlehem is sure to meet your needs and keep up with your lusting fashion desires (as I’m going there again next weekend:-)).
